What we collect

From your Google account, when you sign in

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your Google profile picture

We ask Google only for your basic profile and your email address. We cannot read your mail, your contacts, or anything else in your Google account.

From the registration form

• Title, first and last name, affiliation and nationality
• Registration category and type of participation
• Presentation title and Paper ID, if you are presenting
• Whether you are registering at the student rate
• Banquet attendance, and the name and dietary requirements of any accompanying guests
• Your own dietary requirements
• Whether you need a receipt or a certificate of attendance
• Any notes you choose to add

Proof of student status, if you register at the student rate

A document you upload (PDF, JPEG or PNG, up to 5 MB) showing that you are currently a student, together with the time you uploaded it and the outcome of the organisers' review.

About your payment

Payment is handled by NewebPay, not by this site. Your card details are entered on NewebPay's own payment page. What we receive and store is the order number, the transaction number, the payment method, the amount, the status, the time of the transaction, and a masked card number — the first six and last four digits, with the rest hidden.

We never receive or store your full card number, its expiry date, or its security code.

Why we use it

• To process your registration and your payment
• To check eligibility for the student rate
• To issue receipts and certificates of attendance when requested
• To plan catering, including dietary requirements for the banquet
• To contact you about the conference

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone other than the service providers listed below.

Who can see it

Access to registration records is restricted to a small number of named conference organisers. The list of people who may open the administration area is configured on the server, and anyone not on that list is refused — including people who can otherwise sign in to this site. Technical staff who maintain the server can reach the underlying database as part of running the service.

How long we keep it

Proof of student status is deleted on December 31, 2026. The uploaded file itself is erased after that date; only the outcome of the review — whether the student rate was approved — is kept, so that the registration record stays complete. This is carried out by the system on a schedule, not by someone remembering to do it.

Registration and payment records are kept until 31 December 2027, for conference administration and accounting.

Cookies

This site sets a single cookie, which keeps you signed in after you authenticate with Google. It is signed, restricted to this site, and cleared when you sign out. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this site, and no third-party trackers.

While you are filling in the registration form, what you have typed so far is also kept in your own browser, so that you do not lose it if you leave the page before submitting. It stays on your device, is never sent to us until you submit the form, and is removed once your registration goes through.

Your rights

Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act you may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Write to paclic2026@gmail.com and we will respond.

Deleting your registration data before the conference also cancels your registration, and refunds are governed by the Terms of Service.
