PACLIC 40 · National Taiwan University, Taipei · December 10–12, 2026

Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 September 2026

These terms apply when you use this site to register for The 40th Pacific Asia Conference on Language, Information and Computation (PACLIC 40), held at National Taiwan University, Taipei on December 10–12, 2026. The conference is organised by the Graduate Institute of Linguistics, National Taiwan University. By completing a registration you accept these terms.

Signing in

Registration requires a Google account, which is used to identify you and to let you return to your registration later. You are responsible for the security of that account. What we receive from Google is described in the Privacy Policy.

Deadlines

  • Early bird rates apply until November 20, 2026. Registrations completed after that date are charged the standard rate.
  • Online registration closes on December 9, 2026. After that date this site no longer accepts registrations or payments.

The rate that applies is the one in force when your payment is completed, not when you start filling in the form.

Fees and payment

Registration fees are charged per person. One registration covers every paper you present, and the fee does not depend on how many papers you have. For each accepted paper, at least one author must register for the conference and attend.

All fees are charged in New Taiwan Dollars. US Dollar amounts shown on this site are a convenience only, converted at a fixed rate of 1 USD = 32 NTD; the amount your bank charges you may differ slightly.

Payment is taken by NewebPay. Your registration is confirmed once NewebPay reports the payment as successful. The amount payable is calculated by the conference system from the details you provide — the figure shown in your browser is for information and is not what is charged.

What your registration includes

PACLIC 40 Regular and Student registration includes access to all PACLIC 40 sessions and poster viewings, all conference materials, lunches and coffee breaks on all three conference days, and one seat at the conference banquet on 10 December, 17:30–20:00.

JWLLP Workshop Only registration is a single rate. It includes access to all JWLLP sessions and poster viewings, the afternoon coffee break on the final day of the conference, and the PACLIC 40 Closing Ceremony. It does not include other PACLIC 40 sessions or the conference banquet.

Participants attending the banquet may bring up to two additional guests at US$50 (NT$1,600) per guest.

Registration fees do not include accommodation or airport transfers.

Student rate

The student rate is available to people who are currently enrolled students. If you select it, you must upload proof of your student status, which the organisers review. The organisers may decline proof that does not clearly show current enrolment.

If your proof is not accepted, the organisers will contact you at the email address on your registration, and the difference between the student and regular rates will be collected on site at the conference.

Cancellation and refunds

Registration fees are non-refundable in the event of cancellation or non-attendance.

If you are charged twice for the same registration, or charged an amount that does not match your registration, contact paclic2026@gmail.com and the organisers will correct it.

Accuracy of the information you give

Please make sure your name, affiliation and Paper IDs are correct — they are used for your conference badge, for receipts and certificates, and to match your registration to your accepted papers. Tell the organisers promptly if something needs to be changed.

Changes to the conference

The programme, venue arrangements and schedule may change. The organisers will announce any significant change to registered participants.

Availability of this site

This site is provided as it is, for the purpose of registering for the conference. The organisers cannot guarantee that it will be available without interruption. If you cannot complete a registration, contact paclic2026@gmail.com.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.).
